During the previous school year, more than 500 UNICEF Club committees across 48 schools coordinated over 120 highly innovative and purpose-driven school activities. These included an inter-school stationery donation drive that provided essential learning resources to children from local low-income families and developing countries, promoting educational equity. Another secondary school hosted interactive glass harp music therapy sessions, where participants learned to play simple melodies on water-filled glasses. This creative approach introduced mental wellness and positive emotions in a deeply relaxing way. Additionally, students from one high school-built empathy and raised awareness of child rights by maintaining a pen-pal correspondence with peers in a Jordanian refugee camp.
These varied activities collectively engaged over 24,000 students in learning about UNICEF's global initiatives, understanding children's rights, and familiarizing themselves with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through these endeavors, students were able to share their experiences with peers, teachers, their school, and the wider community.
UNICEF Club annual registration for the school year 2026/27 starts now! Join hands with UNICEF HK as global citizens and to show your care to children.
